8th Easter Plasma Meeting on

RECONNECTION AND TURBULENCE IN MAGNETICALLY CONFINED PLASMAS

The 8th Easter Plasma Meeting will be held at Villa Gualino, Turin, on April 23-25, 2003. You are kindly invited to join us for a stimulating and enjoyable meeting!

Like in previous years, the idea behind the meeting is brainstorming sessions on selected topics. The topics for this year are magnetic reconnection and turbulence in magnetically confined plasmas. Areas of discussions will range from nonlinear tearing modes in fusion plasmas, basic reconnection experiments, comparison between reconnection in space and in the laboratory, nonlinear dynamics in nonneutral plasmas, electrostatic turbulence and anomalous transport. The format of the meeting is as follows. The meeting will last three days. Each day will include five review presentations in the morning, a two-hour poster session in the first part of the afternoon and a two-hour brainstorming discussion at the end of the day. The programme committee is in the process of selecting the fifteen reviewers. We will be able to accomodate about 50 posters.

A list of invited speakers is available, together with a registration form and other logistic informations. Participants will be able to find accomodation at Villa Gualino, situated on a hill at the outskirts of Turin.
